Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was conceived in Minsk. Sergey Her father (who died in 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk 5 May 1998. She has been able to be the winner of 12 WTA singles titles, which includes the Grand Slam in the Australian Open in 2023. Also, she is a great doubles player. She has won two other Majors in this specialty the US Open 2019 and the Australian Open 2021 won both together with Elise Mertens. In 2019, she took home each of her first WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian teammate, and completed the Sunshine Double. The women's doubles had only four teams achieve this feat. The Belarusian rose from second place to third place in the singles world rankings on 23 August 2021. Her best ranking was achieved again in January 2023. However, in doubles she moved up to the top spot following her win in Melbourne in February the same year. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) coached her for part of the 2019 season in 2018 and through the close of the season. Dieter Kindlmann was her trainer from the month of August until September 2020. She is being trained by her countryman Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova have been her inspirations.
